- Afternoon meeting of Brian and Vinh
On the Thursday after our presentation, Brian and Vinh met up in the afternoon to research ways to measure battery level using the Raspberry Pi. There are some examples that use more hardware than we already have, so we have asked these parts to be ordered.
Our team member roles haven't changed, Chaitali is still Project Manager, Shubham and Amanda are still Android programmers and UI designers, and Vinh, Brian, and Jennie are all still Linux operators and Python programmers.
This week's goals are to continue working with Android Studio to develop our user interface displaying battery life, miles left in the battery charge, and voltage available for different in-car services.
Our hardware goal is to work with the MoPi that will be getting delivered within the next week. Our goal with this hardware is to be able to monitor the voltage coming out of our power source and be able to represent that in a way that the user will be able to understand. We have an LED bar currently that displays 10 separate LEDs and we will use this to show our battery level. The LEDs transition from green to red, so the more green bars are lit, the higher the charge of the battery.
Here are the details on the MoPi
