This weekend we updated the chassis to a slightly newer RC car. It is 4wd electric with mechanical caliper brakes. It is slightly larger, allowing us to fit more electronics on the top plate. The diagram below is a rough idea of how things will be spaced out. Note the number of RPis. Yes, we're fitting 7 of them on here in a vertical configuration.
Yes, the clamps are temporary, no Pis were hurt in the making of this photograph.
Joe will have more on this for Tuesday's class, and I will sit in on the 440 class on Thursday morning to see what sort of sensor and mounting options groups need going forward.
