Team Meeting 9/27/16 (Class time)
- Discussed tasks that need to be completed on Thursday.
- Discussed how assignment to each team member on Jira.
- Discussed on parts for the project.
- Initially looking for clamp for braking
- Decided to backward force on motor to apply the brake.
- Discussed on how to connect Android App to Pi.using BlutTooth
- Tested Bluetooth, connection was not stable.
- Decided to use WiFi for connection between android and pi.
Team Meeting 9/29/16 (Class time)
- We placed order on parts that we need finally.
- Discussed on how the Android User Interface is going to look like ( Redesign)
- Discussed on how the whole system is going to work.
- Discussed that everyone should contribute on Git not just 2 to 3 members.
Team Meeting 10/2/16 (1PM - 5PM)
- Tested out the Pi works with Relay and Ultrasonic Sensor.
- Discussed on what classes we need for the project.
- Discussed on how the Sequence Diagram is going to be.
- Discussed on redesign Android UI for and discussed when it should be done.
Decided that use Pi as Server and Android as Client.
Android apps will send JSON through the web server database that created on Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi will retrieve the data from database to execute the Python Application, in this case is the motor.py, which turn the relay switch on to start the motor for backward braking.
Raspberry Pi will be able to detect which motor is running and send back through the database to Android App to display which tire applied the brake.
Project Progress
- Redesigning the Android UI ( Display 4 individual brakes for 4 tires and 1 button for all brakes. Switch on and off to connect the Raspberry Pi.
- Testing on Android app connect raspberry pi via WiFi.
- Thinking on How Pi retrieve the data from database and execute the .py files.
